Letter to the Secretary of the Treasury

On October 3rd 1902, Mark Twain sent a letter to the secretary of the treasury in which Twain requested to be send winter fuel - in the form of treasury bonds, bank notes, etc.. The letter soon started circulating in the press and was subsequently translated in the German-language papers as well.
