<td>Als Mark Twain noch in Hannibal die Schulbank drückte, stellte der Lehrer für einen Klassenaufsatz folgendes Thema: „The Result of Lazineß“, „Die Folgen der Faulheit“. Der angehende Humorist behandelte das Thema durchaus eigenartig, denn nachdem er eine volle Stunde daran gearbeitet hatte, gab er als „Folgen der Faulheit“ - ein leeres Blatt ab!</td>
<td>When Mark Twain was still at school in Hannibal, the teacher set the following topic for a class essay: “The Result of Laziness”. The budding humorist treated the topic quite peculiarly, for after working on it for a full hour, he turned in as “Result of Laziness” - a blank sheet!</td>
