<td>Durch die europäische Presse macht gegenwärtig folgende Schnurre Mark Twain's die Runde, die von der Wirkung der amerikanischen Prohibitions-Gesetze handelt und deshalb, im Hinblick auf unsere eigene Sonntagssperre, gegenwärtig auch hier interessiren dürfte:</td>

<td>Es sind mehrere Jahre her, daß ein braver Bursche aus dem Westen in eine Stadt kam, für die das Prohibitions-Gesetz galt. Er fragte nach einem Wirthshause, aber man sagte ihm, er werde nirgends wo anders etwas zu trinken bekommen, als bei dem Apotheker. Der brave Bursche ging also zum Apotheker und setzte diesem sein Verlangen auseinander. Der aber erklärte:</td>
