Aber seine Geisteskraft ist nicht gebrochen und seine Feder wie seine öffentlichen Vorträge sollen ihm neue Einkünfte bringen. Das amerikanische Publikum, das dem liebenswürdigen Humor des populären Schriftstellers so manchen Genuß verdankt, wird wohl dafür sorgen, daß ihm die zweite Auflage des „Roughing it“ nicht zu schwer fällt.</td>
