Numerous special trains transported the guests from the Kings Cross railroad station. Among them were the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of York, the American Ambassador Joseph H. Choate, Major General Lord Kitchener of Chartum, the American Embassy Secretary Henry White and Miss White, the second American Embassy Secretary James R.
